Job Description

Position Summary Rexburg Motor Sports is seeking an organized, detailed-oriented Accounting Assistant/Payroll Clerk to join our team in a long-term, part-time capacity. The job will include a variety of tasks including Payroll processing, Benefit Administration and Accounts Receivable. The ideal candidate works independently, can problem solve, and comes together to work as a team. Knowledge of accounting principles or degree required. 2+ years of accounting experience required. Payroll experience required. Human Resources/Benefits experience a plus, but not required. This is a long-term, part-time position. Pay is DOE. Initial responses may be by email. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and transmit bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll(s) Ensure employee payroll is processed accurately and timely Process garnishments and wage orders Update employee records with new hire information and/or changes in employment status Assists with processing terminations, when needed Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential Verify and deposit bi-weekly and semi-monthly federal payroll liabilities Process and file month, quarter and annual federal and state payroll tax reports Prepare and distribute monthly A/R statements Data Entry and other duties as assigned by the department
Qualifications:
2+ years of accounting experience required Experience using QuickBooks Enterprise Payroll or other similar payroll system required Previous Human Resources/Benefits experience (preferred) Strong attention to detail required Strong computer skills in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word) Strong verbal/written communication skills General knowledge of Labor and Employment laws Good problem-solving abilities Data Entry Skills Sense of urgency
Schedule:
Part-Time, Long-Term Flexible hours to be mutually agreed upon with the right candidate Hours must fall within standard company business hours and consistently align with critical payroll processing deadlines.
