Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will manage and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring the integrity of our accounting processes. Your expertise will support our organization's financial health by handling day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, reconciling accounts, and preparing essential financial reports. Duties Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms. Perform bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy between bank statements and internal records. Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently while verifying accuracy and supporting documentation. Record journal entries accurately, including debits & credits, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. Assist with payroll processing, including tax calculations and compliance with governmental regulations. Prepare financial reports, including income statements, cash flow statements, and other relevant documentation for management review. Requirements Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, GAAP standards, and financial concepts. Experience in corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, or governmental accounting environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of account reconciliation processes, bank reconciliation procedures, and general ledger accounting. Ability to perform detailed account analysis, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately. Familiarity with accounts payable/receivable processes and payroll administration. Excellent organizational skills with proficiency in 10 key typing for data entry accuracy. Strong communication skills for financial report writing and documentation purposes.
