Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Accounting Clerk / Receptionist to join our Accounting team. This position plays an important role in supporting daily accounting functions while also assisting with front office operations. The ideal candidate is comfortable with data entry, organization, multitasking, and providing friendly and professional service to employees, customers, vendors, and visitors. No prior accounting experience is required—we are willing to train the right candidate! Responsibilities Manage front desk responsibilities, including answering and directing phone calls, taking messages, greeting visitors, accepting packages and deliveries, and assisting with general inquiries. Order, receive, stock, and distribute office supplies as needed. Maintain office supply areas, storage spaces, and common areas to ensure they remain clean, organized, and properly stocked. Assist with office inventory, including monitoring supply levels and maintaining an organized inventory of commonly used office supplies. Perform daily data entry, ensuring information is entered accurately and efficiently into company systems. Enter and process invoices, contracts, purchase orders, and other accounting-related documents. Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed. Perform account analysis and reconciliations to help maintain accurate financial records. Utilize accounting software and company systems to enter, update, and maintain financial information. Review records and accounts to identify discrepancies and assist with resolving issues. Maintain organized electronic and physical records, including invoices, receipts, reports, contracts, and other documentation. Assist with month-end accounting procedures, including preparing reports, gathering documentation, and completing assigned accounting tasks. Collaborate with other departments to assist with financial inquiries, documentation, and reporting needs. Utilize 10-key and typing skills to efficiently and accurately complete data entry tasks. Provide general administrative and clerical support to the Accounting department and other departments as needed. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications No experience required—training will be provided. High school diploma or equivalent. Proficient computer knowledge and willingness to learn new software and systems. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced office environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with employees, customers, vendors, and visitors. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to ask questions and learn. Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain confidentiality when working with financial and company information.
