KS Job Overview & Essential Functions Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for an Accounting Specialist. The Accounting Specialist performs truck inventory and sales functions, including invoicing, warranty administration, title work and other accounting, office and clerical duties related to the branch operations, in accordance with standard procedures. Create truck invoices for customers.
Complete title reassignment and related state forms.
Research and resolve title issues.
Prepare and post journal entries and special bills.
Maintain truck inventory, including purchasing, transfers and inventory cost.
Compile data and maintain appropriate sales records and reports.
Prepare and review forms and other documentation related to sales tax and FET reporting.
Post truck invoices, which includes reviewing profitability analysis, vendor rebate accruals, commissions, etc.
Process payroll and maintain personnel records.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
Knowledge of title work, vehicle/equipment transactions, and state vehicle registration strongly preferred.
Knowledge of general accounting principles and proficient computer skills.
Requires excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Prefer college degree but equivalent experience and success may be substituted for degree. Benefits Competitive Salary
