Full Charge Bookkeeper
Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to support financial operations for a Contract position based in Jeffersontown, Kentucky. This role is ideal for someone who can oversee day-to-day accounting activities, maintain accurate records, and provide dependable reporting for business decision-making. The successful candidate will bring strong experience with accounting software, Excel-based analysis, and end-to-end bookkeeping responsibilities across payables, receivables, and budgeting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete bookkeeping cycle, ensuring financial records are accurate, current, and properly organized.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions while monitoring outstanding items and resolving discrepancies.
- Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial data to support accurate month-end reporting.
- Prepare routine financial reports and assist with cash flow tracking to help maintain visibility into business performance.
- Support budget planning activities by compiling financial information and assisting with annual budget preparation.
- Use accounting platforms such as ADP and Great Plains to record transactions, maintain data integrity, and generate reports.
- Review accounting entries and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with established procedures and sound accounting practices.
- Assist with updates or changes within computerized accounting systems as needed while maintaining continuity in financial operations.
