Job Description

Henry Insurance, a local Independent Insurance Agency, is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of a growing organization. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day accounting functions, and ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions. Responsibilities Include:
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts on a regular basis Prepare and process payments, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation Maintain accurate general ledger coding in accordance with accounting principles Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and obtain required documentation Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Analyze financial data and prepare reports to support internal decision-making Maintain organized and confidential financial records Support ongoing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred, but not required Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP knowledge a plus) Proficiency with Quickbooks Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
