Performs general bookkeeping/accounting duties, under the direction of assigned supervisor, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank statement reconciliation, quarterly taxes, all forms of billing, including government, private and insurance sectors. Bookkeeper will assist in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements and budget preparation. Bookkeeper will assist with general administrative practice and client relations duties as scheduled by supervisor.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs automated bookkeeping activities including but not limited to: Accounts receivables Accounts payables Bank statement reconciliation Assists supervisor in the preparation of monthly financial statement. Assists supervisor in budget preparation. Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Good understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles and procedures. Clear appreciation of confidentiality. Integrity, honesty, teamwork and professionalism desired. Ability to plan work duties to meet deadlines. Ability to perform duties individually and in team work environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
College degree in business/accounting related field or college level accounting courses with documented experience in the field. Successful experience in non-profit accounting highly desired. Knowledge/experience with Quick Books, Excel and other MS Office products highly desirable.
