Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Bookkeeper to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, processing payroll, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will help support the organization's financial health and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online system. Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data. Process payroll and handle accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently. Prepare journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and ensure adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Conduct account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and account reconciliation activities regularly. Generate financial reports, including statements related to governmental accounting or nonprofit accounting as needed. Support budgeting processes by tracking expenses and assisting with financial report writing to inform decision-making. Skills Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of accounting concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and financial software integration. Knowledge of GAAP standards and governmental or nonprofit accounting practices is a plus. Excellent proficiency in spreadsheets and 10-key typing for data entry accuracy. Ability to perform bank reconciliation, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation with precision. Experience with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and account reconciliation procedures. Familiarity with technical accounting principles and financial concepts related to budgeting and account analysis. Pay:
$21.00 - $29.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
