Accounts Payable ROLE:
Our established company is seeking a reliable, full-time Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic accounting team. The ideal candidate will be highly accurate, extremely organized, and able to perform duties independently with minimal supervision. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, excellent time management, and effective communication skills, along with the capacity to handle high-stress periods, fast-paced workflows, and strict deadlines during peak business times. In addition to supporting the accounting department, the Specialist will work closely with management and assistant teams across the organization. Reporting directly to the Accounting Director, this role is essential in helping the department meet both internal and external deadlines. JOB REQUIREMENTS
Maintain vendor relationships and respond to inquiries regarding payments Invoice payment processing Complete Workers' Compensation Audits Receive and/or download, prepare and organize utility and water bills across multiple platforms. Enter data into Excel and verify - must know how to use basic formulas Prepare, process and review various invoices for accuracy Assist with processing mail and deposits as needed Assist Accounting Manager with monthly report pulling Knowledge of preparing, entering and posting journal entries Update processes & procedures as needed Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations. 1099 preparation
Qualifications:
Associates College degree in accounting and/or at least four years Accounts Payable experience preferred but not required Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures Common sense and inductive reasoning — The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions Experience with Microsoft Office suite and the ability to learn computer programs easily Accurate and pays attention to detail High level of organization Able to meet deadlines Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information Excellent 10-key skills
Hours:
M - TH 8-5, F 8-4.
Salary starting from $48,000 - $54,000 a year depending on experience.
