Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are looking for an Accounts Receivable specialist to execute accurate and timely transactions in a high volume accounting department. The Accounts Receivable specialist will maintain documentation that adequately supports transactions and communicate with the appropriate parties to ensure accounts are kept current.
Responsibilities:
Perform all receivable functions including invoicing customers, recording and reporting daily sales, closing out month end and writing journal entries Review monthly aging and report overdue outstanding items Interact with internal staff and customers to resolve outstanding issues and follow through to resolution Resolve lingering credit balances on customer statements and clear appropriately Maintain supporting documentation for each payment, including processing of appropriate information in accounting software Document, process and record credit/debit memoranda Generate customer account statements Prepare month-end journal vouchers with appropriate supporting documentation and post to accounting software Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts to subsidiary ledgers and attach appropriate supporting documentation Develop Excel spreadsheets as required and/or enter into existing spreadsheets Assist with office support to include data entry and telephone backup Perform other duties as directed by management
Skills/ Training/ Education/ Experience:
2 - 5 years related work experience or training Microsoft Excel skills & intermediate level computer skills Ability to multi-task and work with interruptions Strong analytical and organization skills. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
