Bookkeeper:

College degree is nice to have. HS Diploma required. Knowledge of GAAP required. 4 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience. Experience with A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, creating journal entries and performing general ledger reconciliations. Experience with accrual accounting, debits, and credits. Project accounting, job-costing, or progress billing experience needed. Person who enjoys working with numbers and strives for accuracy. Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online. Strong MS Excel capability. Duties of the

Bookkeeper:

Work closely with the Finance Director to ensure accounting tasks are completed timely and accurately. Maintain vendor and customer account information in the system. Enter vendor invoices, code them correctly to the job / general ledger account code, and process vendor payments bi-weekly. Generate customer invoices according to specific contract terms including work-in-progress invoices. Process sales transactions daily. Provide support for month-end close by preparing and entering journal entries and accruals, performing reconciliations, and producing financial reports. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, loans, and balance-sheet accounts. Support the broader team with additional bookkeeping tasks as needed to help close the books accurately and on time each month.
