$20 - $23 per hour

Contract with Potential for Temp-to-Hire (Not Guaranteed) Position Overview Insync Consulting is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join a fast-paced finance team. The ideal candidate will have dedicated Accounts Payable experience within a large organization and a proven history of longevity in previous roles. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to process high volumes of financial transactions accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Process invoices, refunds, and check requests accurately and timely. Enter financial data into the Accounts Payable system. Match purchase orders and packing slips to invoices. Verify approvals, authorizations, and accounting codes before processing payments. Manage weekly check runs and prepare checks for mailing. Prepare batches for electronic invoice payments. Maintain and update vendor records and files. Assist with vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies. Coordinate invoice approvals with managers and department leaders. Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including accrual preparation. Maintain organized accounts payable records and supporting documentation. Assist the accounting team with bookkeeping and other financial projects as needed. Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures. Qualifications Education Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent college coursework. Required Experience Strong, dedicated Accounts Payable experience (candidates with primarily AP/AR, payroll, or mixed accounting backgrounds may not be considered). Experience working within large organizations preferred. Demonstrated longevity and stability in previous positions. Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced accounting environment. Skills & Knowledge Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes and procedures. Excellent data entry accuracy and attention to detail. Proficiency with 10-key operations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information. Proficiency with accounting systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, and email applications. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
