Job Description
J.D. Streett & Company, Inc. is a growing family-owned Maryland Heights, Missouri based company, which was established in 1884 and has grown to over 250 full and part-time staff at 20 retail locations, two plants, and two terminals located in Missouri and Illinois. J.D. Streett is seeking a self-motivated, team player, Accounting Clerk to perform duties required to provide accounts payable and receivable support to our office.

Update accounting records. Obtain W-9 for new vendors, issue vendor numbers to new vendors, enter new vendors, and update changes of information as needed. Coordinate with vendors for missing or late payments. Review checks/wires and post payments to accounts receivable balance or appropriate general ledger account number. Calculate state and local sales taxes due using monthly sales report. Review and code utility/vender invoices. Review weekly payroll for HR. Generate gas reconciliation report. Generate various invoices and house charges for retail. Maintain retail invoicing spreadsheet. Other various duties as assigned. Education/Experience High school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of one year of data entry experience and strong knowledge of accounting concepts. Accounting coursework or equivalent work experience preferred. Skill Set Good written and verbal communication skills. Display an ability to work closely and effectively with others. Must be able to plan and arrange own work to meet deadlines. Proficient using Microsoft Office products; Word, Excel, Outlook. Able to use phone, email and other office equipment. Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
