Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our construction team in St. Charles, MO. This role owns the full AP cycle from invoice entry through payment processing and will work closely with Project Managers, the accounting team and new Office Manager who are determined to create a positive work environment. Duties Enter vendor and subcontractor invoices accurately, and efficiently, including job/cost coding and data entry. Verify that invoices are accurate and match subcontracts, purchase orders and receipts. Track recurring bills and payment due dates. Correspond with subcontractors, vendors and Project Managers to reconcile invoice/statement discrepancies in a timely manner. Respond promptly to subcontractor and vendor inquiries regarding payment status and required documents. Handle lien waivers and certified payroll. Ensure accurate job cost reporting. Maintain and update vendor account information. Assist with month-end closing procedures. Qualifications 1+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience. Construction accounting a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel. Ability to organize and prioritize with great attention to detail.
