Please contact via e-mail only. Thank you for your understanding. We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Controller to oversee accounting operations across multiple business entities. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who is comfortable managing complex financial processes independently in a highly confidential and deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting knowledge, sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal day-to-day oversight. Prior experience in a law firm or other professional services environment is strongly preferred. Responsibilities
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Manage trust accounting and IOLTA compliance
  • Coordinate settlement disbursements and related financial processes
  • Perform account reconciliations and financial reporting
  • Assist with budgeting and financial tracking
  • Coordinate with outside CPA and other financial vendors as needed
  • Manage QuickBooks Online and related accounting platforms
  • Oversee expense management systems, including Expensify
  • Support accounting staff
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records
  • Assist with implementation and maintenance of accounting procedures and internal processes Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience preferred
  • Prior experience managing accounting operations independently strongly preferred
  • Experience with payroll, reconciliations, AP/AR, and financial reporting required
  • Experience with trust accounting and IOLTA management strongly preferred
  • Experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online, ADP, and Expensify or similar platforms preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive financial information
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Skilled in professional communication, problem solving, and follow-through
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel Requirements
