Position Summary Responsible for supporting the Finance Department which includes payroll processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and CACFP. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Payroll Maintain employee payroll status changes; hard copy as well as electronic copy, responsible for processing payroll, and calculating all payroll related payments (i.e. Federal & State taxes, etc.). Audit all monthly, quarterly and annual payroll related reports (i.e. 941, 1099's, State unemployment, and W-2's). Maintain time keeping equipment. Maintain time sheets and reports. Ensure the accuracy of all time entered. Maintain communication with payroll provider. Post payroll activity into accounting software and balance General Ledger. Maintain garnishments of employees. Complete wage verification forms as requested. Resolve biweekly payroll issues. Provide management with timely and accurate payroll information. Accounts Payable Print checks for all invoices and reconcile statements. Maintain and build relationships with vendors. Oversee and monitor submission of packing slips and receipts by management and staff. Monitor checking in and checking out of agency credit cards. Provide support to generate monthly financial reports. Provide support for all finance functions. Perform Sponsoring Organization CACFP duties (records management, monitoring, claims,etc.) Assist in all audits involving the Finance Department Assist President/CEO as needed. All other duties as assigned. Education/Training Must have High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of two years of experience/education in the accounting field. Associates Degree preferred. Must adhere to all ethical standards as set forth by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and IWC Code of Ethics Necessary Special Qualifications Must be eighteen years of age or older and possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License. Special Skills/Abilities Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to keep accurate and organized data. Ability to communicate with other staff and members of the community. Office environment not usually requiring ongoing strenuous physical qualifications. May require occasional lifting of 25 pounds. Must be free from communicable diseases.

Working Conditions:
Well lighted and ventilated, even temperature, accessible parking. Work will be primarily indoors.
