Job Description

Future Foam is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team at our manufacturing plant in High Point, NC. This is a hands-on, highly visible position that works closely with plant management, production, vendors, customers, and employees. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for a variety of accounting and administrative functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, inventory, logistics coordination, production reporting, and general office support. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, highly responsive, organized, detail-oriented, and action-oriented. Because this position interacts regularly with clients, vendors, employees, and members of the management team, a high level of professionalism, communication, and follow-through is essential. Responsibilities
  • Process and maintain accounts payable transactions, including invoice processing, coding, matching, and payment-related activities.
  • Assist with accounts receivable, inventory, purchasing, and other plant accounting functions. .
  • Prepare weekly and monthly process-related reports and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist with month-end closing activities and ensure accounting records are accurate and complete.
  • Maintain accurate and organized files, records, reports, and documentation.
  • Order and maintain office supplies, equipment, and other administrative materials.
  • Provide responsive and professional service to internal and external customers, vendors, and other business partners.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, accuracy, and customer service.
  • Perform other accounting, administrative, and operational duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in accounts payable, accounting, customer service, manufacturing, production planning, logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with an ERP system preferred; Unix experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather information from multiple sources, identify trends or issues, and take appropriate action.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and changing priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional and effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with employees, customers, vendors, and management.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and maintaining a high level of visibility and interaction with production employees.
