Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will manage the end-to-end process of invoice processing, vendor payments, and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards. Your expertise will support our company's financial integrity by maintaining precise records, adhering to internal controls, and streamlining accounts payable operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization committed to operational excellence and financial transparency. Key Responsibilities Enter and process vendor invoices in QuickBooks Online. Review invoices for accuracy, proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation. Verify invoices against purchase orders and/or receipts when applicable. Identify duplicate invoices, incorrect charges, and discrepancies before payment. Process vendor payments according to due dates, payment terms, and company procedures. Apply vendor credits and payments accurately. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding discrepancies. Maintain accurate vendor records, including W-9s and payment information. Monitor A/P aging and ensure approved invoices are paid timely. Communicate with vendors regarding invoice and payment questions. Maintain organized records of invoices, payments, and supporting documentation. Assist with month-end A/P review and reconciliation. Escalate unusual charges, payment changes, or discrepancies as needed. Qualifications Accounts payable or bookkeeping experience required. QuickBooks Online experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Great understanding of accounting and A/P processes. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle confidential financial information. Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
