Accounting Clerk New River Tire Recycling / Rubberlogix | Pilot Mountain, NC Full-Time | $50,000-$60,000 per year, based on experience Join a Growing Company and Own a Critical Part of Our Accounting Operation New River Tire Recycling and Rubberlogix are growing North Carolina-based companies that recycle scrap tires and manufacture recycled rubber flooring and related products. With approximately 70 employees and continued growth ahead , we're looking for an organized, dependable accounting professional to join our team and take ownership of important Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable responsibilities . This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, staying organized, and making sure things get done correctly and on time. If you're the type of person who notices when something doesn't look right, follows up when a payment is missing, and takes pride in keeping things accurate and organized, we'd like to meet you. What You'll Do Your primary responsibilities will be Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable , including: Accounts Receivable Prepare and process customer invoices and credits. Post and apply customer payments accurately and timely. Run and review weekly AR aging reports. Identify past-due accounts and follow established collection procedures. Send customer statements and payment reminders. Communicate professionally with customers regarding invoices, payments, credits, and account questions. Research and resolve payment discrepancies and unapplied cash. Assist with customer account reconciliations. Maintain accurate customer account records. Communicate significant past-due accounts or collection concerns to the Controller and appropriate management. New customer setup documents, credit references, and credit terms establishment. Accounts Payable Enter and process vendor invoices accurately and timely. Match invoices with purchase orders, receiving records, and supporting documentation. Verify pricing, quantities, freight, and other invoice details. Obtain appropriate approvals before invoices are paid. Prepare AP information for scheduled payment runs. Research and resolve vendor discrepancies. Maintain accurate vendor records. Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payments. Assist with vendor statement reconciliations. General Accounting Support Assist with monthly account reconciliations and month-end close. Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation. Assist the Controller with financial reporting and accounting projects. Help identify discrepancies, duplicate transactions, missing documentation, and other accounting issues. Work closely with purchasing, sales, customer service, logistics, and operations to resolve accounting-related issues. Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer information. Follow established accounting procedures and internal controls. Look for opportunities to improve accounting processes, accuracy, and efficiency. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and accountable. You'll be a strong candidate if you have: 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, AR, AP, or related experience. Experience with Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational and time-management skills. Strong communication and follow-up skills. The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Comfortable communicating with customers, vendors, and internal employees. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle financial information appropriately. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, recycling, or industrial environment. Experience with QuickBooks . Experience with an ERP or inventory management system. Experience with customer collections and AR aging. Experience with three-way matching of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices. Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. The Person We're Looking For We want someone who takes ownership of their work . You don't have to know everything on day one. But you do need to be willing to learn, ask questions, follow through, and take responsibility for getting things right. The right person will be comfortable picking up the phone to resolve an invoice issue, following up with a customer about an overdue payment, tracking down a missing purchase order, or working with a vendor to correct an invoice.

Compensation & Benefits Salary:
$50,000-$60,000 annually , depending on experience and qualifications.
