Job Description

We are looking for a dependable Bookkeeper to provide contract support for a business in Shallotte, North Carolina. This role is ideal for someone who can step in quickly, keep daily accounting operations organized, and maintain accuracy across core financial tasks with minimal onboarding. The position will focus on hands-on bookkeeping support, including payables, receivables, payroll, and reconciliations, while helping the team maintain continuity during an interim hiring period.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities to keep financial records accurate, current, and well organized.
  • Process vendor invoices and payments while monitoring accounts payable for timeliness and accuracy.
  • Track incoming customer payments and maintain accounts receivable records to support consistent cash flow.
  • Complete payroll activities with careful attention to deadlines, documentation, and compliance.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and review transactions to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Use QuickBooks Online to record financial activity, maintain account data, and generate routine reporting.
  • Support purchasing-related accounting tasks and help document warranty claim transactions as needed.
  • Provide interim accounting coverage by stepping into established processes and maintaining continuity with limited training.
  • Assist with integration-related accounting coordination when needed as part of ongoing operational support.
