We specialize in providing administrative, financial, and clinical oversight for outpatient medical clinics and ambulatory surgery centers related to gastrointestinal disorders and treatment. We are seeking a hands-on, experienced, Accounts Payable Professional responsible for receiving, reconciling, and coordinating approvals of our electronic and paper bills across multiple companies. This person will also be responsible for printing and mailing checks to vendors in addition to regular communication with our vendors. As well as reconciling monthly statements, and upkeep of vendor profiles across the organization.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for receiving, reviewing, coding, reconciling, and processing accounts payable invoices across multiple companies. This position coordinates invoice approvals, maintains vendor records, processes vendor payments, reconciles vendor statements, prepares required tax filings, and provides support to the Accounting Department to ensure accurate and timely financial operation.Education :
Minimum an Associates Degree with Accounting as a concentration. Experience Three (3) to five (5) years of accounts payable experience required. Healthcare industry experience preferred. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Knowledge of standard accounting concepts, practices, and procedures. Knowledge of general ledger accounting. Knowledge of Nebraska Sales and Use Tax regulations. Experience using QuickBooks Online. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to maintain organized records and a clean work environment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.Detailed Work Activities:
Review, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system. Coordinate invoice approval processes. Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor concerns. Process weekly check runs and vendor payments. Create and maintain positive pay files. Prepare, reconcile, file, and remit monthly Nebraska Sales and Use Tax payments. Reconcile monthly vendor statements. Create and maintain vendor profiles and records. Communicate with vendors regarding payment status, invoice requests, and account inquiries. Prepare, reconcile, and file annual 1099 forms. Assist with accounting projects and perform additional duties as assigned. Maintain confidentiality of financial and organizational information.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
