Job Description
Overview Twin State Sand & Gravel and its sister company, Blaktop, are local, family run businesses that have been in operation for over 75 years. This is an excellent opportunity to find a home at a company that puts family values first. This is a full-time, year-round position with a great benefits package. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for accounts payables, front desk duties, arranging aggregate deliveries, and weigh scale operations. The ideal candidate will have prior accounts payable, customer service, and related industry experience. The candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills, basic math and computer skills, be self-motivated, be personable, be adaptable, and have integrity. Duties & Responsibilities Process, verify, & code invoices. Timely processing of weekly payables. Answer phone calls. Answer customer questions. Arrange aggregate deliveries. Weigh scale operations. Research & respond to vendors making payment inquiries. Data entry, such as equipment fuel usage & quarry production. Filing. Assist with timecard entry for payroll as needed. DOT compliance. Cross training with other office positions. Arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled office hours to assist with opening the office. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Customer service skills. Ability to work well with others and adapt to changing circumstances. Ability to appropriately deal with the different personalities found in the construction industry. Accuracy with numbers. Proficiency with Microsoft based accounting software and MS Excel. Good verbal & written communication skills. Good work ethic. Work Environment Casual office setting.
Work schedule:
Office hours are 7am- 4:30pm M-F and 7am
- 12pm on Saturday during the construction season (May
- Nov). Saturdays will be on a rotating schedule. During the off-season, office hours are 7:30am
- 4pm M-F.
