Job Description
Robert Half is partnering with a local client for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to support day-to-day receivables operations. This position focuses on accurate billing, timely payment application, and consistent follow-up on outstanding commercial accounts while assisting the supervisor with core accounting activities. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, sound reconciliation skills, and the ability to manage multiple receivables tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support the supervisor with daily accounts receivable activities and related administrative accounting tasks.
- Prepare and issue customer invoices, including billing tied to project phases and milestone-based schedules.
- Post incoming payments accurately and ensure cash receipts are matched to the appropriate customer accounts.
- Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.
- Monitor outstanding balances and conduct commercial collections in a timely and thorough manner.
- Review aging reports regularly and follow up with customers to help reduce overdue receivables.
- Maintain complete and organized account documentation to support reporting and audit readiness.
