This role is vital in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting overall financial health. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in various accounting software, including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and other financial systems, along with a solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team dedicated to excellence in financial management. Duties Manage the full cycle of bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries. Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial data. Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and other reports to support management decision-making. Process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, and other systems to record transactions and generate reports. Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to verify ledger accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly. Ensure adherence to accounting standards like GAAP while maintaining detailed documentation for audits. Assist with budgeting processes and provide insights based on financial data analysis. Perform regular bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are properly recorded with debits & credits aligned correctly. Write clear financial reports and summaries for internal use or external auditors as needed. Experience Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Full Charge Bookkeeper with a minimum of several years working in accounting or finance roles. Extensive knowledge of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger management. Hands-on experience with popular accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, and other financial systems. Strong understanding of corporate accounting practices; non-profit accounting experience is a plus. Familiarity with payroll processing procedures and accounts payable/receivable management. Demonstrated ability to handle complex bank reconciliations, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation tasks efficiently. Knowledge of GAAP standards and financial concepts necessary for accurate financial report writing. Excellent spreadsheet skills with proficiency in Excel or similar tools for data analysis and budgeting purposes. Prior experience working within public accounting firms or in environments requiring strict adherence to accounting standards is highly desirable.
