Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations for a manufacturing organization. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is well suited for someone who can manage core financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and contribute to a smooth month-end process. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience across payables, receivables, reconciliations, and payroll support while working confidently within established accounting systems.
Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and coordinate timely payment activity to keep accounts payable current.
- Prepare customer billing, record incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances to support accurate accounts receivable management.
- Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure financial records remain complete and reliable.
- Maintain the general bookkeeping records by entering transactions, organizing documentation, and updating account details as needed.
- Assist with payroll administration by reviewing time and pay data and supporting accurate submissions through payroll platforms.
- Generate routine financial reports and provide accounting support that helps leadership monitor daily and monthly performance.
- Partner with internal stakeholders during accounting system changes taking place during the year, helping preserve data accuracy and continuity in financial processes. Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting support within a detail-focused business environment.
- Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes.
- Familiarity with SAP and the ability to navigate accounting systems efficiently.
- Experience assisting with payroll activities using
ADP, UKG
Pro, or similar payroll applications.- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage financial data accurately and consistently.
- Solid organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a deadline-driven setting.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
