Accounting Introduction Village CapitalInvestment LLC is seeking an experienced Escrow Specialist II to join our Mortgage Operations team in Henderson, Nevada. This position is an in-house role within our mortgage company and is focused on post-closing settlement review, compliance analysis, and issue resolution. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with strong title and escrow experience who enjoys reviewing files, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring loans meet all investor and regulatory requirements after closing. Key Responsibilities Reconcile accounts. Balance complex general ledger accounts monthly. Manage AMB data. Navigate AMB software to track mortgage-specific financial transactions. Identify discrepancies. Research, trace, and resolve financial variances. Post journals. Prepare and record monthly adjusting journal entries. Verify transactions. Match bank statements and loan funding data against internal records. Support audits. Prepare reconciliation schedules for internal and external auditors. Maintain documentation. Keep organized digital records of all reconciliations. Qualifications Education. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience. System experience. Hands-on proficiency with AMB (Accounting for Mortgage Bankers) software. Industry knowledge. Solid understanding of mortgage loan accounting and funding processes. Work experience. Minimum 2-3 years of dedicated general ledger reconciliation experience. Excel skills. Advanced knowledge of VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, and pivot tables. Core skills. Strong analytical thinking, high accuracy, and strict attention to detail.
