Care Team Solutions is helping The Zang Agency, a third generation, family-owned buffalo business, who provides custom made electrical equipment to the commercial and industrial markets find their next integral piece to their growing company- an Accounting Support Specialist.
Purpose:
To provide clarity within the finance department through execution of core accounting functions, maintenance of highly organized financial records, participation in reporting and auditing functions, and other accounting tasks as required with speed and accuracy to uphold the ZANG legacy of service.

Place:
A vital member of the Finance team who serves as the procedural backbone for customer/vendorbaccounts, core accounting functions, and closely supports the CFO. A top performer in this role: Ensures all new customer and vendor accounts are set up accurately and promptly. Maintains a proactive approach to collecting and organizing tax documentation. Communicate effectively with customers and team members to resolve accounting/administrative hurdles before they become problems. Demonstrate the "Hold the Door" mentality by supporting the accounting team in daily operational and financial duties. Has QuickBooks experience and is proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Core Responsibilities Core Accounting & Compliance Support Support Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P) tasks to ensure smooth cash flow and industry relationships. Perform project-specific audits to ensure accurate and on-time billing. Proactively collect, maintain, and supply tax exemption certificates for business transactions. Support the preparation of sales tax documentation and annual IRS/NYS filings as requested. Organize and file lien waivers, certificates of insurance (COIs), and other critical project-related documents. Financial Operations & Reporting Manage the setup process for new customers and vendors, ensuring all financial and contact data is accurately entered into the system. Provide support during third-party audits and internal financial reviews. Support the CFO in preparing quarterly financial statements and related reporting. General Administrative Support Assist in triaging inbound phone calls Maintaining documentation according to company policies and procedures Key Traits & Abilities A high level of attention to detail to ensure financial data is accurate and true. A self-starter who values collaboration and follows through on every task or request. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest quality of work. Willingness to "Hold the Door" for team members by taking on diverse tasks. Education/Experience Requirements Minimum of associate's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field Minimum of 1-year working experience in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field. Details About Industry Leading Pay & Benefits In office, Mon-Fri.
Pay:
$25-30 depending on education/experience.
PTO:
2 weeks. In addition - closed week of Christmas-New Years! Health/Vision/Dental insurance paid in full! Single and Family! 401k w/ match!
