Job Description

Monday-Friday 9:00am-2:00pm 25 hours/week Academic year - Mid-August through end of May with a 2-3 week shutdown in December This position reports to the Accounting Manager Physical Requirements Lift 20lb routinely Types for more than 1 hour per day Performs duties sitting for several hours daily Duties Cash Operations Processes, audits, and posts cash receipts from operations including subcontracted operations to the accounting system. Prepares and delivers daily bank deposits and orders and obtains currency and coin as needed from primary or secondary banks. Prepares, processes, and reconciles petty cash requests. Maintains and safeguards cash in the Business Office. Audits cash in operations. Audits, reconciles, and adjusts daily sales reports. Financial Reporting Updates daily sales reports, reconciles daily credit sales and deposits and distributes Grant and Agency statements to account administrators. Customer Service Helps support front customer service desk as needed. Provides information to campus community about services as well as terms and conditions performed by CAS. Creates identification cards and dining access for campus community members. Occasionally handles financial transactions regarding meals plans, customer accounts, ID cards and parking lot. Assists with customer service, administrative, or clerical duties as needed or assigned by CAS Business Office Management. Qualifications Two-year accounting degree or equivalent preferred One to two years of accounting/office experience preferred Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite programs and office equipment Maintain confidential information Computing skills to calculate percentages, discounts, interest, commissions, ratios, averages, & medians. Ability to interact with customers, coworkers, and vendors in a professional setting. Ability to work effectively as a team member Ability to interpret instructions, technical and procedure manuals, & material data sheets. Create reports and standard business correspondence. Able to verbally present information formally to a group of customers or coworkers.
