Responsibilities Process and submit insurance claims accurately using ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems. Review patient records for completeness and accuracy before billing. Ensure compliance with medical collection policies and procedures. Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status, denials, and appeals. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing regulations and coding updates. Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure timely payments. Manage patient inquiries related to billing issues and provide clear explanations of charges. Keep detailed records of all transactions and communications related to billing processes.
