Job Description

Overview Join our team as an Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk and become a vital part of our financial operations! In this role, you will manage the end-to-end processes of invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in handling our company's financial transactions. Your proactive approach will help maintain strong vendor and customer relationships while supporting compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. Duties Process accounts receivable transactions, including invoice generation, customer payments, and collections management. Handle accounts payable tasks by verifying vendor invoices, preparing payment batches, and ensuring timely disbursements through systems like Paychex or ADP. Reconcile accounts on the general ledger, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and ensure accuracy of account balances in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions while safeguarding confidential information with strict adherence to data security protocols. Assist with month-end closing activities by preparing journal entries, conducting account analysis, and supporting audit requests related to SOX compliance and governmental regulations. Requirements Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a strong understanding of accounts receivable/payable management and bookkeeping practices. Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and spreadsheet management; ability to perform Excel data analysis is highly desirable. Strong numeracy skills with the ability to perform account reconciliation, account analysis, and journal entries accurately. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
Pay:
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
