Type:

full-time Robert Half is working with a retail company to hire an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid retail or wholesale AR background who wants to own the full receivables cycle and work closely with the Controller on the accounting side of the business. In this role, you'll oversee billing and invoicing, keep payment applications accurate and up to date, and dig into chargebacks and disputes to get them resolved. You'll also have exposure to GAAP-related work alongside the Controller, which makes this a nice step for anyone looking to keep growing their accounting skill set.

Primary Duties:

Overseeing billing and invoicing to ensure accuracy and timely delivery to customers Processing and applying customer payments and reconciling accounts Investigating and resolving chargebacks, deductions, and customer disputes Managing collections and following up on past-due accounts while maintaining strong customer relationships Partnering with the Controller on GAAP functions, including month-end close support and account reconciliations Maintaining clean, organized AR records and helping identify opportunities to improve processes

Position Requirements:

2+ years of accounts receivable experience within the retail or wholesale industry Hands-on experience with chargebacks, deductions, and dispute resolution Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.) Experience working within an ERP system Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities Clear, professional communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
