Job Description:
This is a public and student facing position. Main duties include student enrollment, class registration and add/drops of classes, guiding students on the application and admissions process, review and verification of residence applications, collecting tuition and fee payments, responding to financial aid and student billing questions and review reconciliation of cash receipts and discrepancies. Main duties also include answering telephones and acting as a live chat agent. May be asked to do other processing as needed; requires close attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to multi-task, and strong customer service skills. Does related work as required.
Requirements:
Experience Required:
Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and one (1) year of clerical experience involving the maintenance or auditing of financial accounts or records.
Experience Preferred:
General knowledge of student enrollment services (i.e., Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration, and or Bursar/Student Account functions) is a plus. Excellent customer service skills. Bi-lingual.
Additional Information:
This is a PT Civil Service position that carries paid holiday and sick time. Starting salary - $23.7347/hr, Grade 6/Step 2, CSEA employees according to contract
Hours:
Tuesday and Thursday 9 Am to 5 PM (1/2 hr unpaid lunch); Friday 1 pm to 5 PM, 19 hours per week. May require travel/work between both campuses.
