Accounts Receivable Specialist / Cashier Clerk
Job Description
Job Summary The Accounts Receivable/Cashier Clerk position is primarily responsible for ensuring that customers' pricing and payments are made within terms by recording payments to customers' accounts, maintaining receivable records, and taking phone calls from both customers and colleagues to assist with A/R-related issues. This position is also responsible for cashing in drivers and handling daily banking.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Reconcile invoices and post payments made by customers to the accounts receivable ledger Research accounts receivable phone and written inquiries and resolve disputed issues Obtain and mail invoice copies for customers and research customer claims of invoice payments in order to update accounts Enforce NYS Liquor Authority rules and regulations; follow up on customer defaults and releases from the NYS Liquor Authority Research and process charge-backs, returns, and NSF checks Initiate daily sales reports and Delinquent Due list for sales reps to review Compile and mail customer statements bi-weekly Set up new accounts and update current license information and complete a daily Computer Control Report Maintain the Promotional Pricing file as well as everyday pricing expectations Cash in delivery drivers and process payments to compile daily bank deposits Key and process sales samples and inventory adjustments Track breakage and out of code product monthly Work with colleagues to take care of issues and special projects as they arise Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent communication and customer service skills Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Education and Experience:
• Associate Degree (Preferred)

Accounts Receivable Experience:
1 year (Preferred)

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
