Full-time Bookkeeper CHS Business Consultants Yonkers, NY Job Details Full-time $25 - $35 an hour 19 hours ago Benefits Free parking Qualifications Microsoft Excel Attention to detail QuickBooks Organizational skills Full Job Description Job Summary Join a small, established accounting firm where you will work closely with experienced professionals and support a varied portfolio of business and individual clients. This role offers broad exposure to bookkeeping operations and the opportunity to take ownership of client accounts. This is a full-time, on-site position in Northeast Yonkers, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Free on-site parking is available. Occasional local travel is required, and mileage is reimbursed . Duties Manage bookkeeping responsibilities, including but not limited to: Reconcile monthly credit card statements, bank statements and intercompany accounts. Review QuickBooks for appropriate coding and presentation. Prepare payroll. Manage Sales and Accounts Receivables, including: Record sales from web-based platforms. Track and reconcile deposits. Handle chargebacks and other credit card company-initiated issues.
Manage Accounts Payable:
Receive invoices, review and prepare payments. Code invoices and enter accounts payable transactions into QuickBooks. Handle communication regarding bill inquiries. Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, suppliers, and other business contacts by phone and email. General ledger maintenance. Prepare and maintain financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation. Perform other general office duties as needed. Qualifications College graduate (BA or BS) is a plus, but not necessary. Two to three years of bookkeeping experience. Strong proficiency with QuickBooks required Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word/Excel). Experience with Central Withholding Agreements (CWA) is a plus but not required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage deadlines and follow through on outstanding items. Professional written and verbal communication. Sound judgment when handling confidential client information. Professional references will be requested from finalists.
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
