Job Description
Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist / Bookkeeper A well-established Northeast Ohio law firm is seeking an Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist to join its administrative team. This is a confidential search being conducted on the firm's behalf. Firm details will be shared with candidates selected for interview. About the Role This is a hands-on accounts payable and receivable seat at the center of the firm's day-to-day accounting. You will work closely with the firm's administrative team in a collaborative, fast-paced practice where accuracy, organization, and discretion matter. The firm is looking for someone who wants to settle into this role and grow within it over the long term. Responsibilities Manage the full accounts payable and accounts receivable cycle Process vendor invoices, verify against purchase orders, and prepare payments Generate and issue customer invoices and apply incoming payments Perform bank and account reconciliations Maintain accurate, organized financial records and documentation Assist with payroll processing and monthly financial reporting Support general accounting tasks and month-end close as needed Qualifications Three or more years of accounts payable and receivable, bookkeeping, or related accounting experience Working knowledge of QuickBooks or comparable accounting software Strong Excel skills High attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Experience in a professional services or legal setting is a plus Associate's degree in accounting or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered Compensation and Benefits Competitive base salary commensurate with experience, plus a full benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan participation.
