Eagle Bridge Co. is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join our payroll and accounts payable department. Previous payroll or accounting experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train a motivated candidate who is organized, accurate, and eager to learn. This position may be structured as either part-time or full-time, depending on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and availability. Responsibilities Collect and review employee timecards and process weekly payroll through direct deposit. Prepare, report, and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly payroll taxes. Prepare and submit monthly union reports. Enter accounts payable invoices accurately and promptly. Review, code, verify, and process accounts payable payments. Reconcile monthly vendor statements and ensure invoices are paid on time. Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor payment inquiries. Assist with month-end closing, including preparing accounts payable-related journal entries. Gather and organize documents for annual financial and other required audits. Maintain accurate electronic and paper filing systems. Answer phones, welcome office visitors, and professionally represent the company. Protect confidential employee, payroll, and financial information. Perform other administrative and accounting duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous payroll, accounts payable, bookkeeping, or related accounting experience is preferred. Construction payroll or union reporting experience is a plus but not required. An associate degree in accounting, business, or a related field is preferred. Relevant work experience will also be considered. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications. Strong typing and data-entry skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet recurring deadlines. Ability to communicate professionally with employees, vendors, and visitors. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity. Willingness to learn Eagle Bridge's payroll and accounting procedures. Compensation and Benefits Eagle Bridge Co. offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Pay will be based on the selected candidate's experience and qualifications.
