Job Description

Job Summary:
The Accountant Specialist will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of the processing and record keeping of financial documents. This individual will also be responsible for billing and accounting records, as well as posting revenues by verifying and entering transactions and local deposits while updating receivables by totaling unpaid invoices.
Essential Functions:
Accounting & Financial Reporting Prepare and analyze accounting records and financial reports. Assist with month-end and year-end close. Prepare and post standard and adjust journal entries. Perform bank reconciliations. Complete balance sheet reconciliations. Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger. Review financial data for accuracy and resolve variances. Assist with audits and financial reporting. Account Reconciliation Reviewing customers, vendors, and general ledger accounts for discrepancies. Investigate accounting variances and reconcile differences promptly. Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other assigned general ledger accounts. Research accounting issues and recommend appropriate resolutions. Maintain accurate supporting documentation for all reconciliations. Ensure reconciliation items are resolved within established accounting periods. Month-end close by established deadlines. 100% of bank reconciliations are completed by month-end deadline. Balance sheet reconciliations completed accurately each month. Journal entries prepared accurately and posted on time. General ledger accuracy.
Competencies or Experience Requirements:
  • Must have great communication across all departments.
  • Have a general understanding of Accounting language and theory.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to work alone or in a team setting
  • Good attitude is a must
Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
