Treasurer Position Category Secretarial/Clerical Position Type Treasurer Posting Start Date 7/3/2026 Posting End Date 9/1/2026 Position Start Date 7/1/2026 School District Paoli Public School City, State Paoli , OK United States Description The District Treasurer/Encumbrance Clerk is responsible for the financial management, accounting, and legal safeguarding of all school district funds. This individual works closely with the Superintendent and Board of Education to maintain the district budget, process payroll/purchasing, manage bank accounts, and ensure rigorous compliance with the Oklahoma Cost Accounting System (OCAS) guidelines.
Required Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or GED required. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is highly preferred.
Experience:
Prior experience in school financial accounting, municipal finance, or banking is preferred. Direct experience using OCAS and school finance software (such as MAS or Municipal Accounting Systems) is a massive plus.
Legal Requirements:
Must be able to be legally bonded in the State of Oklahoma for the handling of public funds. Must complete the state-mandated continuing education hours for school treasurers/encumbrance clerks. Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check.
