Job Description
Position Summary We are seeking a Accounts Payable Clerk to join our property management team. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for ensuring vendor invoices and payments are processed accurately and timely while maintaining organized and accurate financial records. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, dependable, reliable, and highly detail-oriented , with a strong sense of accountability and follow-through. Key Responsibilities Process and code vendor invoices accurately and efficiently. Review invoices for accuracy, proper approvals, and appropriate documentation. Prepare and process accounts payable payments in a timely manner. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Maintain accurate vendor records and account information. Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances. Work closely with property management staff and internal teams to ensure invoices are properly coded and approved. Assist with monthly accounting close and accounts payable reconciliations. Maintain organized electronic and physical accounting records. Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures. Identify discrepancies or issues and take appropriate action to resolve them. Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience , preferably with accounts payable experience. Property management or real estate accounting experience is a plus. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Dependable and reliable with a strong work ethic. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Experience with accounting or property management software is preferred, but not required Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership of their work, follows through on commitments, and consistently maintains a high level of accuracy. They are dependable, organized, and comfortable working independently while also collaborating with property managers, vendors, and other members of the accounting team.
