$54,000 - $58,000 annually About the Opportunity Our client, a well-established and growing organization in the Portland area, is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to join their team. This unique role blends accounting, bookkeeping, administrative support, and project coordination responsibilities, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their workday. Why Join / Company Highlights Stable and growing organization with a collaborative team environment Diverse role offering exposure to bookkeeping, accounting operations, and administrative functions Opportunity to develop skills across accounting, financial reporting, and business operations Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and support month-end accounting processes, including preparation of financial statements and financial reporting Record payroll journal entries, review payroll activity, and assist with payroll-related accounting functions Perform account reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and support general ledger (GL) accounting activities Monitor cash balances, process ACH and wire payments, facilitate bank transfers, and resolve payment discrepancies Assist with fixed asset tracking, year-end close activities, audit support, tax preparation documentation, and 1099 reporting Compile financial data and prepare accounting reports for leadership as needed Provide administrative, technology, and project support to internal teams while assisting with special projects and operational initiatives Qualifications 2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or staff accountant experience with strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting Experience with QuickBooks and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and accounting software systems Strong attention to detail, ability to manage confidential information, and excellent written and verbal communication skills Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation based on experience Professional development opportunities Collaborative and supportive workplace culture About CFS Creative Financial Staffing (CFS) is an employee-owned organization dedicated to helping accounting, finance, and administrative professionals find opportunities that align with their career goals.
