Job Description
This employee will serve as a member of the Fiscal Unit and reports to the Fiscal Supervisor for Children & Youth/Finance & Administration. The position is responsible for invoice and service utilization review for accuracy, data entry, and electronic case management data system support. The associate will assist with reviewing and verifying information for OCY Provider contracts. The employee must ensure compliance with prescribed accounting, fiscal and contractual procedures. Monitoring and tracking Services eligible for Federal funding, such as, Title IV-E for compliance, invoicing and reports. Creates, maintains and updates computerized reports through review of source documents including internal and State documents and service provider invoices. Compiling various data on service provision and budgetary expenditures from internal, State and federal documents, invoices and spreadsheets into report format. Completed reports are distributed to various departments and individuals for use as reference material and for administrative analysis in determining service deliver levels, budgetary issues, statistical compilation and program effectiveness. Processes service invoices for payment. The employee must verify client placement location, dates of service, type of service and rate authorized by contract to determine monthly payment. Uses computer spreadsheet and word processing software programs to complete job responsibilities. Responsible for creating spreadsheet programs for storing fiscal data, records and reports. Uses source documents including internal forms and service invoices to maintain detailed data on cost codes, expenditures and service providers, on daily basis, to maintain ledgers and reports. Monthly balances are conducted from accumulated data for budgetary control and future use in compiling statistics and generating reports for distribution to County, State and Federal sources. Knowledge of modern office practices and equipment including computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to Word, Outlook, Excel & Access. Some knowledge of accounting principles and methods. Ability to perform detailed work involving written or numerical data, make arithmetical calculations rapidly and accurately; track and monitor information on computerized spreadsheets, databases or other electronic methods. Ability to prepare computerized financial reports and statements. Ability to apply and adapt established methods to financial transactions.
