We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to support day-to-day financial operations for a long-term contract opportunity in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This position focuses on maintaining accurate payables and receivables activity, handling billing-related tasks, and keeping records current in QuickBooks Online. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to contribute quickly in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices, verify payment details, and help ensure timely completion of accounts payable activities.
• Manage customer invoicing, monitor outstanding balances, and apply incoming payments to support accounts receivable accuracy.
• Maintain financial records in QuickBooks Online, updating transactions and keeping documentation organized and current.
• Perform account reconciliations to identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and support accurate reporting.
• Assist with routine bookkeeping tasks related to billing, cash activity, and general accounting operations.
• Communicate with internal contacts and client-facing stakeholders to address account questions and provide timely updates.
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Proficiency using QuickBooks Online for day-to-day bookkeeping and transaction management.
• Background in billing support, payment tracking, and account reconciliation.
• Working knowledge of core accounting practices and financial recordkeeping.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Clear communication skills and a detail-oriented approach to resolving account-related questions.
