FBCOP seeks a diligent part-time Accounting Bookkeeper (10-12 hours) to meticulously manage all financial records, across its general operations, pre-school, and missions accounts, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and adherence to sound accounting principles. This vital role aims to uphold the highest standards of financial stewardship, enabling the church to effectively fulfill its mission and serve the community. The person will be required to work from office, but with flexible schedule and allowed remote work depending on the task. Working knowledge of QuickBooks is a must have. This is a hybrid role, so being on job location on a weekly basis is required. 1. Schedule electronic bill pays and prepare checks on a weekly basis to ensure timely payments to vendors. 2. Track weekly donations from different channels and designate based on giving preferences and budgeted accounts, including major giving campaigns. 3. Accurately document all financial activities, including receipts, payments, covenant payments, loans, endowment changes, and donations. 4. Calculate employee wages (for church and preschool staff), deductions, and taxes, and ensuring timely and accurate payment. 5. Compare bank transactions with company records to identify and resolve discrepancies. 6. Generate reports like balance sheets, class-based profit and loss statements, budget vs actual comparisons, and others separately for the church and school to provide insights into the company's financial health. 7. Organize and store financial documents, both physical and digital, for easy access and reference. 8. Utilize tools like QuickBooks Online, Tithe.ly, One Church, and ADP to manage financial data. 9. Interact with vendors, covenant partners, bank representatives, creditors, and the treasurer to resolve financial matters. 10. Prepare and send invoices to covenant partners, wherever applicable. 11. Work with the Ministry Support Team (MST) and other committees to adhere to policies on tracking expenditure. 12. Calculate and disburse monthly mission donations to American Baptist Association and other mission/ministry partners. 13. Prepare and mail giving statements to donors annually before tax-filing dates. 14. Assist with creating and monitoring budgets and forecasting future financial performance. 15.
