Accounting Clerk

Job Summary Lakefront Cargo is a growing Freight Forwarder based in Westlake, Ohio. We are looking to hire a part time accounting clerk to help with book keeping and various Accounts Payable / Receivable functions. The hours are 20 hours per week starting as needed will grow to a full time position. Will need you in office one day a week for cheque run while we transition over to ACH. Duties Perform data entry of financial transactions into QuickBooks ensuring accuracy and completeness. Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections, maintaining balanced ledgers. Assist with general ledger accounting tasks including journal entries, account analysis, and month-end closing activities. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations regularly to verify account accuracy and identify discrepancies for prompt resolution. Qualifications Must have experience with Quickbooks 2023. Must have understanding of MacOs. Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation. Ability to perform high-volume data entry accurately using 10 key typing skills. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation.

Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
