Accounts Payable Clerk Location:

Conover, NC VPC Group is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on accounts payable experience who is comfortable working with vendors, processing payments, reconciling accounts, and managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. What You'll Do Verify, process, and post vendor invoices into our accounting system (Beanworks/PSI) Process and upload weekly ACH payment batches Prepare manual check payments as needed Review vendor accounts and AP balances to ensure accurate and timely payments Reconcile intercompany accounts payable balances with other VPC entities Work with internal departments to resolve purchase order discrepancies and questions Set up and verify new vendors, including vendor banking information Communicate with vendors to resolve invoice and billing issues Maintain accurate records of paid vendor invoices Process customer credit applications and obtain required approvals What We're Looking For 2-3 years of accounts payable or related experience required Working knowledge of basic accounting principles Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to communicate professionally with vendors and coworkers Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Experience with Beanworks, PSI, or similar accounting/AP software is a plus No formal accounting degree required Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance — company pays approximately 70% 401(k) with 4% company match PTO 9 paid holidays per year Join VPC Group If you have accounts payable experience and are looking for a role where accuracy, organization, and follow-through are valued, we'd like to hear from you.
