We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day accounting operations of an organization in Norristown, Pennsylvania. This contract position offers the opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven team while managing essential financial processes with accuracy and consistency. The role begins onsite and transitions to a hybrid schedule of two days remote after training is completed.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable activities by reviewing invoices, entering payment details in QuickBooks Online, and preparing weekly check runs.
• Record incoming payments accurately, apply cash receipts, and monitor outstanding balances to support timely collections.
• Process payroll entries and maintain organized financial records to ensure complete and accurate documentation.
• Perform routine bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to keep account balances current.
• Maintain bookkeeping records in QuickBooks Online and support the accuracy of the general ledger.
• Assist with a variety of day-to-day accounting tasks to help ensure smooth financial operations across the organization.
• Experience in bookkeeping with hands-on responsibility for daily accounting transactions.
• Proficiency using QuickBooks, including maintaining financial records and processing transactions.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable procedures, including invoice entry and payment processing.
• Working knowledge of accounts receivable functions, including cash posting and collection follow-up.
• Ability to complete bank reconciliations with a strong focus on accuracy and detail.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities within a structured workday.
