In this role you will:
Manage routine monthly bookkeeping and accurately record financial transactions on a weekly basis Process vendor bills and receipts according to client workflows Complete monthly bank, credit card, and loan reconciliations Set up mapping and complete journal entries from third-party payroll providers like Gusto and ADP Accurately record payroll-related liabilities, including payroll taxes, benefit deductions, and employer contributions Assist with Department of Revenue (DOR) sales and excise tax filings Assist with month-end close, including preparing reports for review Identify discrepancies or issues and escalate them to senior team members as needed Support cleanup or onboarding projects under guidance from senior bookkeepers Communicate with clients for routine questions or missing information, following established guidelines Monitor email and task management software daily and respond to internal team requests in a timely, professional manner Maintain organized client records and collaborate with senior bookkeepers and account managers to ensure accurate, timely deliverables What We Are Looking For 3+ years of bookkeeping experience at an accounting firm Solid understanding of bookkeeping fundamentals in QuickBooks Online; certification preferred Comfortable managing multiple assigned clients with minimal supervision Strong organizational and time-management skills, and dependable in meeting deadlines Detail-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills Customer service experience and a service-oriented mindset Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) consistently Kind, clear, and collaborative when working with team members Strong competency with technology and cloud-based tools, with the ability to learn new software and workflows Construction industry, Gusto payroll, Bill.com, Dext, Double or Financial Cents experience is a bonus!
