This position is approximately 10 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours during busy periods and at year-end.
The position is hybrid:
one day per week is required in our office, with the remaining work performed remotely as needed. Responsibilities Maintain accurate bookkeeping records in the current version of QuickBooks Online. Review, categorize, and reconcile bank and debit card transactions. Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts. Manage accounts payable and help ensure bills are entered and paid accurately and on time. Process and maintain records for vendor, instructor, and consignment artist payments. Review and reconcile transactions imported from Square Point of Sale. Work with the QuickBooks Online Square Connector, including imported sales receipts, deposits, fees, refunds, payouts, and account mappings. Reconcile Square sales and payouts to QuickBooks Online and bank deposits, and investigate discrepancies. Assist with payroll-related bookkeeping and payroll account reconciliations. Maintain accurate records for 1099 vendors and assist with year-end 1099 preparation. Assist with sales tax reporting and other routine bookkeeping requirements. Maintain organized supporting documentation and a clear audit trail. Work with the Suntan Treasurer and Director. Identify discrepancies or bookkeeping issues and follow through until they are resolved. Required Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency with the current version of QuickBooks Online. Hands-on experience using the QuickBooks Online Square Connector. Working knowledge of Square Point of Sale, including sales, fees, refunds, and payouts. Experience performing bank and credit card reconciliations. Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and follow-through. Ability to work independently, communicate promptly, and take ownership of open items. Ability to work one day per week in the office in St Petersburg, FL. Preferred Qualifications Previous bookkeeping experience with a nonprofit organization. Experience with retail, gallery, consignment, studio, or arts organizations. Familiarity with 1099 reporting, payroll bookkeeping, and Florida sales tax. Experience working with multiple revenue streams.

Compensation:
