About NJ Dream Builders NJ Dream Builders is a growing design-build remodeling company serving South Jersey. We handle kitchens, bathrooms, decks, additions, and whole-home renovations with one team from design through completion. As our project volume grows, we need someone to own the books and help us build stronger financial systems. What You'll Do Maintain accurate day-to-day bookkeeping and financial records Enter and categorize expenses and transactions Reconcile bank and credit card accounts Manage accounts payable and receivable, including subcontractor and vendor payments Track customer payments and outstanding balances Support project/job cost tracking and keep per-project records current Organize subcontractor invoices, receipts, W-9s, COIs, and 1099 documentation Handle occasional in-person tasks: collecting customer checks, bank deposits, paperwork Keep records clean and current for our CPA Coordinate with ownership, project management, and admin staff Help develop bookkeeping procedures as we scale What We're Looking For 2+ years of bookkeeping experience; construction, contracting, or other project-based business strongly preferred QuickBooks (or similar) proficiency Experience with job costing and subcontractor/vendor accounting Familiarity with 1099s, W-9s, and certificates of insurance Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently without close supervision Comfortable communicating with subcontractors, vendors, customers, and management Located in or near Ocean City, NJ for occasional in-person responsibilities Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Growth Opportunity This role starts part-time but is built to grow. As the company expands, our goal is for the right person to move into a full-time bookkeeping/accounting role with greater responsibility and pay.
