Senior Bookkeeper/Controller

Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Bookkeeper/Controller to lead our financial operations with precision and integrity. This role combines advanced bookkeeping expertise with some strategic financial management, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. As a key member of our team, you will oversee complex accounting functions, prepare detailed financial reports, and support organizational growth through sound financial practices. Your expertise in various accounting frameworks, including GAAP, will drive accurate record-keeping and insightful analysis that inform decision-making. This role is highly detail-oriented and process-driven. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable with spreadsheets and systems, and able to manage multiple moving parts in a fast-paced environment. This position works closely with ownership, operations leadership, and external accounting partners. Responsibilities Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll processing. Oversee balance sheet reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. Prepare comprehensive financial reports Implement and maintain internal controls compliant with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements to safeguard company assets. Conduct detailed financial analysis and account analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives. Utilize advanced accounting software such as in QuickBooks and related systems Perform technical accounting tasks related to complex transactions, including double-entry bookkeeping and journal entries involving debits & credits. Lead cash management activities to optimize liquidity and manage banking relationships effectively. Support external audits by preparing documentation related to audit requests and ensuring adherence to all relevant standards. Experience Proven experience in senior bookkeeping or accounting roles Extensive knowledge of GAAP Strong background in financial report writing coupled with excellent analytical skills for detailed account analysis. Experience managing complex reconciliations such as balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation processes. Ability to interpret complex financial concepts and translate them into clear reports for stakeholders Familiarity with budgeting processes, forecasting techniques, and cash flow management strategies to support organizational objectives. Experience with ecommerce, retail operations, and Amazon Seller Central

PAY AND FINAL ROLE DEPENDANT ON EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS.
